The Cass County Tax Assessor-Collector does not Appraise Property Values.  If you need information regarding Appraised Values, please call the Appraisal District at 903-756-7545.

 

As of January 1, 2024, there is a additional fee of $1.50 when renewing your vehicle registration in Cass County. This fee is to promote child safety programs including health and nutrition education and school crossing guards.

As of December 1, 2025, a valid, unexpired government issued photo ID is necessary to complete any DMV transactions (auto/boat registration, titles, placards, etc.). This includes a driver’s license or state ID card from any U.S. state or territory, a U.S. or foreign passport, or a U.S. military ID card.  The identification must be current and contain a clear photograph of the applicant.  The applicant is considered the person whose name is on the title of the vehicle or prescription for disabled placard.

As of Friday, August 1, 2025, our office will no longer process boat titles, Texas or out of state. We will continue to process boat registration only for Texas Parks & Wildlife Department. For boat titling assistance, please contact their main headquarters at (903) 572-7966. Their office address is 212 S. Johnson Avenue, Mount Pleasant, TX 75455.
