Cass County is dedicated to serving its citizens by excelling in all areas of service, financial responsibility, and transparency of actions. It is the vision of the Commissioners Court of Cass County to provide the public with complete financial disclosure concerning the Budget, Annual Financial Report, Check Register, Tax Rate and outstanding Debt.

Transparency Stars recognizes local government entities that provide easy online access to important financial data.
The Texas Comptroller’s office launched the Transparency Stars program in March 2016 to recognize cities, counties and school districts making important strides to greater government transparency. Local government entities can apply for stars in the areas of:
° Traditional Finances
° Contracts and Procurement
° Economic Development
° Public Pensions
° Debt Obligations
The Cass County Commissioners Court is proud to announce that Cass County has been awarded the Traditional Finances Transparency Star by the Texas State Comptroller. The Cass County Office of the County Auditor has and continues to provide to the public the financial breakdown of revenues and expenditures of county government for the review and discussion.
Achieving the status of attaining a Transparency Star is a major accomplishment that demonstrates the dedication, determination and drive of county government officials to provide to all residents a clear picture of the operations of their local government officials and how the taxes received are being allocated in the operation of county business.
